Instruct clients in fitness activities

Susie is told to answer a question only if she wants to

Susie has told you that she feels uncomfortable being asked to answer questions in front of the others in the group. You have told Susie that you will not ask her to answer questions in front of the others. She can answer questions when she feels comfortable. You also tell her you will ask her questions a bit more privately so you can get some feedback from her.

Susie looking happy

Susie responds:

"That's the way I like it to be. I will answer your questions. It is just that I would rather do it in my own time. I don't like to appear as though I don't know something in front of the guys. I would rather think things through first then give the best answer I can."

You have made Susie happy. This is just the way she likes to work in a group.
