Of course you need to tell us what we need to do in the activities. Don't get carried away with detailed explanations though. Just let us know what we need to do and then let us do it.
Once you've shown me what to do I can do it. But don't show me often.
This is what I like to do. I want to get in and give it a go. This is better than listening and talking about the activities.
I will use the written instructions but I want to see it done as well. Just make sure they are not too detailed.
Don't worry about the details. I'll be able to figure it out as we go along. Just show me what to do.
I have no problems with music. Maybe we can have some fun and sing along as we exercise.
You can ask me any questions you like. I like to show what I know.
I don't mind working in a group. I like the team work approach. We need to make sure that everybody in the group is comfortable with having the others tell them what to do.
I'd rather have a team approach. Instead of individuals demonstrating the activities we could all do them together as the instructor leads the activity.
It is good to have a video to see how other people do the activities but I get a bit bored if we have to watch it for too long. I'd rather get in and do the activities for myself.
I like to give advice. I don't think I would like to be told I was doing it wrong by another participant.
You can tell me what to do but make sure you give me enough time to understand what is involved.
I don't mind watching you do it but I also want some instructions on how to do the activities.
I will give the activities a go when I feel confident I have understood what is involved. If I am not ready to demonstrate an activity don't rush me.
These written instructions will help me a lot. I will be able to look over them afterwards to make sure I understand what to do.
The schedule will be very useful. I like to see the overall picture so I can see where the program is headed.
I don't mind the music. It might help me concentrate on what we are doing.
I feel a little intimidated if you ask me too many questions. So long as you give me time to think about what we are doing you can ask me a few questions.
I feel uncomfortable having to share my ideas until I have had a chance to work through what we are doing. I am not sure how I would take some one else in the group telling me what to do.
I am not comfortable having some one else judge me. I would rather not have to have the others look at me while I am trying to do the activities.
I don't think the video is a good idea. I would rather focus on the activities and make sure I fully understand them rather than watching a video which can be a bit distracting.
I'd would prefer not to be told by another participant if I am not doing the activity correctly. I would prefer it if the instructor told me how to do the activity properly.
I like it best when you tell me what to do. For some people it goes in one ear and out the other but for me if you tell me then I will understand. It's even better if you are telling me while I'm actually doing the activities.
It would be good to see you do the activities. Make sure you talk through what you are doing as you show us what to do.
I really like to try things out for myself. If I don't do it correctly the first time I will keep trying until I get it right.
I don't want too much to read. I much prefer to see it and then do it. I guess some written instructions may help but I probably won't read them.
Does this schedule mean we will do the same thing all the time? I like a bit of variation.
I'd find the music very useful. I'd be able to move to the rhythm. This would help me remember what to do.
I don't mind answering questions, so long as they are to the point. Maybe my answers will help the others get an idea of what is involved in each activity.
I like working with the others. I get a lot of energy out of helping them understand what is involved in the activities.
This suits me. I really like to work with others in the group to make sure we are doing the activities correctly. I quite like showing others how to do things.
I don't think the video is very useful. I'd get a bit out of listening to the commentary but there is too much detail. I'd rather start doing the activities for myself.
I can give and take advice. I like to share what we are doing together. I think I can offer quite a lot of advice to the others in the group.
